Previously, according to consumer’s reports, in Tmall shopping, found the same product, 88 VIP users of the purchase price is higher than ordinary users. For example, for a box of soy milk, the price of 88 VIP members is 73.3 yuan, while for non-members price is 62.91 yuan. Buy the same brand of cleanser, there are even three different price: 24.9 yuan, 21.9 yuan, 14.9 yuan.
In addition, some consumers said that when buying the same product in a Tmall , non-members can pay for free shipping fee, while 88 VIP users have to pay 5 yuan for shipping.
On 3.8 Tmall “88 VIP members are more expensive than ordinary users”, consumers think that the rights and interests of spending money to buy are not enjoyed, think that Tmall has suspicion to abuse the big data.
Public information shows that, according to the consumers consumption record automatically become corresponding to different ‘naughty value’ of 88 VIP members, when the ‘naughty value’ reaches 1000 to become a super member, super members only need to use 88 yuan to become a ”88 VIP” member, and ‘naughty value’ insufficient users need 888 yuan to become a ”88 VIP” member.
Tmall in response to product identification error at the same time, said that in Tmall activity day, 88 VIP users can always get 5% discount in the settlement, there is no so-called big data abuse.
