Qualcomm recently announced the Snapdragon X60, the world first chip based on 5nm process.

The Snapdragon X60, Qualcomm’s third-largest 5G baseband chip, will be used as an external 5G baseband for the next-generation Snapdragon flagship processor. In theory, the Snapdragon X60 better than Huawei Baron 5000 band chip, and will support 5G millimeter waves and FDD and TDD below 6 Ghz for the first time.

In terms of speed, the Snapdragon X60 has maximum download rate of 7.5 Gbps and a maximum upload rate of 3.5 Gbps. For now, Qualcomm won’t be able to stay ahead of Huawei on the model. According to Qualcomm officials, the Snapdragon X60 baseband will not be used on the Snapdragon 865, but on 5G phones released by 2021.
